The last session in October's Creativity in HE theme. Playful Learning includes a range of techniques and approaches to teaching and learning from formal games to ‘fun’ icebreakers, quizzes or community building activities with students. Dr Jane Secker from LEaD will lead a discussion about why she uses playful learning in her teaching and some of the findings from a recent research project she co-led by Professor Susannah Quinsee, to understand why staff at City use playful learning, the benefits to both learners and teachers and the challenges that it brings. They will also be relaunching the playful community and it will be a chance to find out about some ideas they have for upcoming workshops on this topic.
